This document describes requirements for Track Machines.
The requirements of this standard are aimed at minimising fire risk to life of rolling stock occupants as well as the risks that a fire on such rolling stock may pose to the life safety of other users of the infrastructure.
The document covers the design, construction and maintenance of rolling stock.
• Sections 2 to 11 (inclusive) of this document applies to the design and construction of new Medium and Heavy-Duty Track Machines.
• Section 11 of this document applies to the maintenance, modification and refurbishment of existing Medium and Heavy-Duty Track Machines.
